The calling and mission of my work through Biblical Art Touchstones is to create visual images that speak to the heart and soul of humankind. Each is a "one of a kind" piece that comes out of study, prayer and reflection.
Each piece includes a short narrative and scriptural reference, serving as a springboard for your own personal reflection and study.
My goal is to present a living, dynamic Biblical artifact that creates interest and provides insight. May it be a foundation and stimulus for your own journey.
Product: Biblical Encaustic Illuminations (1st Gallery )
The Biblical themed creations in this Gallery are made out of refined beeswax with a natural resin, which adds stability, durability and luminosity. The wax is built up in layers creating depth and interest.
Pigments, images, artifacts, text, natural elements are incorporated accordingly. Molding, shaping, incising, scraping, texturing help create special effects.
The end product invites the viewer to not only look, but to touch and smell. Encaustic is both a visual and sensual experience.
Our products currently vary in size and can be hung independently or combined in a series of pieces to create larger presentations. A typical piece is 1 to 2 inches thick and painted on all surfaces for a three dimensional experience.Product: Cold Wax (3rd Gallery)
The cold wax technique also originated in antiquity. It is also made of refined beeswax with oil based pigments. It can be applied with a variety of tools to create multiple layers. However, as opposed to the encuastic wax a heat source is not employed. The color transitions are more subtle and it has a softer feel.
Product: Sculptures (5th Gallery)
Another product of Biblical Art Touchstones is our sculptural line. Like the encaustics, these are scripture based creations reflecting biblical inspirations and themes.
Product: Biblical Models (6th & 7th Galleries)
A sample of a Biblical model which I constructed can be viewed in the 5th Gallery . This is the 8th century BCE City Gate of Bethsaida in Israel on the Sea of Galilee. It was destroyed in 732 BCE by the Assyrian general, Tiglett Pelizer III. The site is currently being excavated by a consortium of universities directed by Dr. Rami Arav from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Product: Thematic Series (8th Gallery)
In the sixth Gallery you find an example of a series of creative pieces based on the Dead Sea Scrolls site at Qumran. Other themes can be created to fit your setting, be it a place of worship, an institution, or your private residence.Product Orders:
